Workshop Note

A "Daalaa" is a packet made of leaves with flowers, sweets, scented sticks, sindur put inside. The whole thing is covered up by a piece of fine cloth (normally red). This is offered to the Goddess and later is returned to the devotees to distribute among others. At Dakshineswar Temple, "daalaa" surely includes a China Rose flower (Jabaa, as is locally known). The "daalaas" are sold from a place called "Dala Arcade" which is found at the right side after you enter the temple premises.
