Workshop Note

The goal of this workshop was to retain the viewer's eye on the two sets of boards. In my view, in Cecco's original photo, the front leg kept pulling my gaze down to the bottom of the frame. But the subject of the photo is visually complex (hard to quickly recognize), so the viewer needs time to rest on the main image to have the "aha" moment of recognition.

The rest of the changes were only to try to maintain the technical qualities of the original, and I failed at that. The photo looks better with the black & white frame, which I can't easily do, and I think I lost some of the clarity in the original.

But the workshop photo does achieve, I think, what I intended.
