Photographer's Note

There are so many discussions on the forum about TrekEarth Terms and Conditions and about the rules which apply to posting photos. Usually people focus on the negatives. So here is a positive example. You know how you have sometimes a magnificent view but it lacks a good foreground to be captured in an interesting way? The foreground could be for example a good looking girl but if you are married it is inappropriate to look at other women and even more to photograph them. One of the rules on TrekEarth says that we are not allowed to upload photos of our relatives or friends. So here you are: I have explained to my wife the rule and I say: of course you are my favourite photo model and the most beautiful woman in the world but the reason I would like to photograph this other attractive girl is simply to comply with TrekEarth Terms and Conditions, because posting a photo with you would be against TrekEarth rules…

This photo presents a very popular view of Valletta taken across a bay from Sliema. Usually people include here a passing boat as a foreground, I really liked to include the waterfront promenade for a change. Valletta is a beautiful place for a walk yet it lacks as recognizable buildings like Eiffel Tower. These two churches visible here are not even the most prominent but the only ones which are kind of characteristic to the capital’s panorama. To get to this POV I took a ferry from Valletta to Sliema which was itself a very pleasant experience.
