Photographer's Note

Rada is her name, she is 67.Or at least, this is what she told me. She was cleaning the burnt-out candles at a local church. She asked me for 0.25 euros, for being photographed. At the moment, she was in the process of putting her hand on my shoulder, as she told me that i am wasting my film, and she knows it is expensive and i am a student. After i told her i was shooting digital(it was hard to explain her that), she told me that she knows i hust have bought my camera from Germany, as everything is cheaper there. 'even cars are cheaper!' she said 'I have a grandson there, you see!'.
I linked the title to her statement(wich illustrated a common thing in Romania--looking for jobs abroad) and the song.
I was in great doubt, if i was to post it or not, as i tried a new approach on framing it.. Hope you like it.

PS--i have croped a little bit out of the right and bottom, and created a duplicate layer(a technique i have learned here on TE)to lighten up her face.

I hope you like it,
