Photographer's Note

At the pass from the peak of Namafjall, it was a beautiful view of the geothermal field of Hverarönd. Trails crisscross this amazing maze of solfatares, mud pots and fumaroles. Their burning fumes decompose on the ground, covering a mosaic ocher silica which contrasts with the blue gray muddy craters. Do not try to reach out and touch is cooking assured.
