Photographer's Note

the museum in Groningen, surprising with colored rooms, the visitor tries to figure out wether the displayed pieces of art can do with the colours of the walls or not. Taking photos is a pleasure in this rooms!

The new Groninger Museum (1994) is not merely a casing for art, it is a work of art in itself, a principle that is occurring to an increasing extent in contemporary (museum) architecture. It is an artwork in the centre of the city, traversed by public space where passers-by are directly confronted by all kinds of works of art. (homepage of the museum)

Hello Elvira,
They do seem rather strange coloured walls for an art gallery. Nevertheless, they make for an interesting and unusual perspective in your photograph. The ceiling lights help to heighten the perspective even further. I like the bench in the room beyond; a definite bonus in my mind. Excellent clarity. TFS.

Gut gesehen und zugeschlagen! Diese klar strukturierte und ausdrucksstarke Form- und Farbkomposition gefällt mir sehr gut. Die verschnörkelt wirkenden Bilder durchbrechen auf sehr gelungene Weise die einfachen, klaren Linien der Raumarchitektur. Vielleicht wäre das Foto noch gelungener, wenn du an geeigneter Stelle noch menschliche Präsenz ins Bild genommen hättest.
