Photographer's Note

After posting new pictures from the Balkans for a while, I have once again dug deep into my archives and found photos that I didn't remember existed.

This is from a café in Gaziantep, southeast Turkey, 35 years ago. Although most of the men (always men only) drink strong Turkish tea in the traditional small glasses, the framed sign on the wall shows that this is a "kahvehane", coffee house. And indeed the man to the right is enjoying equally strong Turkish coffee.

This is an original b&w photo, scanned from an Ilford FP4 negative.
