Photographer's Note

This would be the perfect parking lot for me :) No endless driving around the blocks to find a free space, no hassle to park sideways and find out that you are still half a meter away from the curb and no honking behind you if you are not fast enough, and there is no need to find a tree for a little shade in this part of the world, there is no, you can trust me!

This is Green River Airfield in the middle of actually not much but the town of Green River which is maybe a ten minute drive from the town center. Some of you might know this place from driving on highway 70 to the National Parks in the area or turning right to Salt Like City. It is unforgiveable land and later on our vacation it was one of the airports we would land in a Cessna 172 and it still gives me cold sweat thinking of the heavy winds this land creates.

We were completely on our own, no sign of life but this lonely truck, and I have my doubts if Green River Airfield ever becomes a second JFK :) but the condition of the runway was perfect and you wonder for what but maybe it is the natural resources of this area that on some days there is a little traffic flying in experts. We had the usual load of corn chips with chilli-tomato sauce for our lunch before we went back to the highway.
