Photographer's Note

They say hundreds of farms are abandoned every year in Norway. Farms that used to bring a meagre but still an outcome for a family, are no longer regarded as having a future. The younger generation prefer to seek their carriers in other trades, resulting in many places like this around the country.

However, the fields are usually taken over by neighbouring farms that are getting bigger while the overall number of farms is reduced year by year. The requirements from changing times are often cruel to small family units like this one used to be…
