Photographer's Note
This is a picture of San Rafael Glacier in the pristine Northern Patagonia which I visited in December 2005. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world I ever been. The San Rafael Lagoon is located in the northern part of the Northern Ice Country, at approximate latitude of 45 30’ S. We entered the lagoon at sunrise and the view was simply spectacular. The photo was taken at around 9:00am on a very clear day and very little contrast was applied to enhance the water.

Hi Antonio!
Good photograph, good composition, colour and good depth perspective. Many many Congratulation!!
I suggest if you would have taken with a higher exposure to have a bit more light (specially on those two hills) and with a smaller apperture as well to get some details on the far side (center of the photograph)
Regards,
Sukalyan..

Hi Antonio - breathtaking scenery, such a pristine unspoilt landscape, looks very inaccessible, and I hope it does not get damaged by human impact.

Olá Antônio!
Excelente captura! Linda imagem!
abraço,
Zeca

I'm a bit late on your gallery...let me take back some delay...:)
We can feel well the wildness of this place with this picture. I like the cold tones in this one. The mountain on the left makes a beautiful shadow on the water, and makes a nice diagonal line toward the corner of the picture. It gives nice rhythm which is kept by the mountain in the back, while the water in the foreground is totally upbeat, which gives a nice contrast.
The wave made by your boat on the lower right corner should have been cropped in my opinion:)
Have a nice day!
Marc
PS:I would like to go there next year...how did you like your trip? How is it for tourist over there? How expensive? Places to see?

Hi Antonio,
I'm enjoying your random selections so much that I never make it to your latest. This is just awesome!! The framing is outstanding from the iceberg reflected in the icy darkness of the lake to the wide sweep of the glacier with it's molding mountains to the cloud-enhanced sky and it's reflection in the lake. The clarity of your colors are truly beautiful as well.

I was just about to search that shot of yours, opened your profile and wow, the random pictures displayed this one! Lucky me! It looks really similar to Perito Moreno except for these little icebergs all around. Perito doesn't have these too much. I took a shot of one though... Will post that tomorrow! The scenery and the surroundings at San Rafael look even more amazing than on the Argentinean side. Impressive shot,
TFS

Hi Antonio. Seeing photographs like this is one of the benefits of participating in TE - it helps you to decide the places in the world where you should visit - and this must be one of them. The scenery here is just spectacular. It reminds me of the region around the Straits of Magellan in southern Chile. I sailed through there in 1970 but unfortunately I lost all my transparencies from that trip in a cyclone in Australia in 1974. The background of your image lacks a bit of sharpness but the impact of this beautiful vista more than makes up for that. Cheers . . . David

Hi Antonio.
From your beautiful gallery I have chosen this photo: it makes to see a place far away me a lot, that perhaps I will not visit never...
Wonderful shot.

Linda foto, Antonio.
Bem executada!

Ola Antonio, you do get around! I particularly like the effect of the reflected iceberg in the FG and the sky! Nice shooting, difficult in those strong light/glare conditions. Warm regards, Lisa
