Between 1772 and 1786, architect Giuseppe Piermarini incorporated the herb and flower gardens of some convents facing corso Venezia in his plan for a park. This was how the municipal garden was created. In the garden, which until a few years ago housed the zoo, ther is a small pond and a hill made of artificial rock. There are also many plants and several species of trees, like horse chestnuts, elder trees, Atlas cedars, pagoda trees, sycamore maples.
