Traditional costumes of Africa Kenya Samburu (66 photos) by MarieLouise Davies (maloutim)
(13617) [Group Theme]
I have been studying the ways of The Masai people who are located more in Southern Kenya, west and south of Nairobi and also around the Frontier with Tanzania.
This theme is dedicated to the Samburu people, and you might notice that there are similarities between the two tribes, although the Samburu live in the north of the country!
They seem to practise the same dance for example, but the Samburu wear a lot more of the impressive jewels made of beads.

I have also got a theme dedicated to the SAMBURU people, and you might notice that there are similarities between the two tribes, although the Sanburu live in the north of the country!

GB Canal narrow Boats (45 photos) by MarieLouise Davies (maloutim)
(13617) [Group Theme]
Like my other themes that reflect British traditions, heritage and culture, Canal narrow boats are really typical of British culture. It's a very slow pace of life with numerous locks to pass; but that's obviously what the holiday-makers like. However, they are becoming victims of their popularity, as traffic-jams are quite usual nowadays, especially in the Summer holidays.
They are favourite holidays, and favourite weekend walks for people who like watching the passing of the locks

Cats in Turkey (79 photos) by MarieLouise Davies (maloutim)

The cats you see in Turkey and other mediterranean countries are not pets. They are just left to fend for themselves, as they are not owned by anyone.
That's how you find them in nice, original places, and they are not very shy, as they are used to consider everybody as friends, rather than just their masters, as they don't have any !
