Intro: Hello friends,

I am from Kolkata, West Bengal. I am a PhD student working in the areas of High Energy Physics. I love to take photographs. This is my hobby and gradually I am involving in it. I have learned a lot from trekearth, by viewing photos, reading comments and critiques and watching workshops. Its a pleasure to be in such a community.

I have learned a lot from my friends in TE and still learning. critiques and suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

After spending a few years in TE, I think I have earned many friends from all over the world. That is probably the best part of the whole story. Apart from that what little knowledge of photography I have gathered is from my TE friends. I thank all of you for this nice journey in TE.

A bit personal details:

Born on 14th February, 1979, in Kolkata (then Calcutta), I did my masters in physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. I had an interest in painting and did a course work on that and effectively went on learning a bit of oil painting in the final year, but had to left the course due to academic pressure during my masters. Then I shifted my interest to photography, which I think a bit more accessible to me than painting! If you have a camera and you go out with that - you have something!! Not necessarily you have to be satisfied everytime with the outcomes, but that one has to accept always. Though I now shifted towards photography, still did not completely left my first love - painting. I hope someday I can give more time to that.
