Intro: I'm a Photo Enthusiast from the Philippines. I understand the technical principle of photography or at least how light, lens, and film speed are related. All the while I thought I already know photography until I was hit by a critiquer. At first it hurted me but after that I wanted more. So I have to post more. I'm more active at MyIslandsPhilippines.Com because its less complicated than TE, it's not too "crowded" and there is friendlier environment with less users than TE. I post photos here when I feel that my photo has to know its deficiency which my MIP friends are quite hesitant to critique me with a standard I have established. I use an enthusiast grade digicam which I would like to upgrade to DSLR when the right time comes. As to Photoshop, I feet that I know less than 10% of what a digital photographer should know but I like what I'm doing with it and I'm willing to share the knowledge with anyone interested.
