Intro: Since I was young, I have been fascinated by the great outdoors, loving to explore nature and landscapes by foot, boat, or with a bike.

Photography can be both a means of artistic expression and of documenting places. I like to combine both. I like pictures that tell a story or symbolize a feeling or atmosphere, as well as they display something which is authentic for a place.

I like TrekEarth, because it encourages a carefully selection of photographs (though for many of the photographers I would like to see more than one photo per day :)), and the descriptions of the photos are usually very good and interesting.
