- Intro
- Welcome to my page! My name is Adriel Clayton and I've been taking photos for about two years now. My passion for photography came about while interning at a church, where I was made official photographer for the youth group. I was given a Casio idiot camera and started taking photos. My first good photos came around when my boss and I went to work in Laos for work, and then later on when we went backpacking through Myanmar (Burma). I've always loved travelling, and have visted more countries than I can count, so naturally, travelling and photography go hand-in-hand for me.
I have recently added a DSLR, a Nikon D80, to my collection and have been learning how to use it properly. I'm in the beginning stages of learning how to shoot in manual mode, so any critiques are more than welcome. With regard to photos, I'm not big on editing at all. I understand the benefits of using programs like Photoshop, but I think there's a difference between photography as an art and photo manipulation and editing as an art. A photographer should be able to attain that shot that they want without need of software manipulation just as a professional singer should be able to sing in tune without the need for vocal tuners and manipulation. Plus, it's only through taking bad pictures that we are able to figure out how to better improve our abilities as photographers. I appreciate any feedback that you have whatsoever, whether it be positive or negative. I hope you enjoy my photos! - Member Since
