Photographer's Note
This is a view of the heart of Glacier NP: the main section of the 50-mile Going-to-the-Sun road from Lake McDonald (can be seen at the back of the valley) to Logan Pass (outside the left of the picture) open to the public in 1933.
Glaciers are responsible for the sculpted landscape. In 1850, there were an estimated 150 glaciers in the park. Today there are only 26. Scientists predict they will all be gone by 2030.

I love th eway the beauty of the place is captured and the sad title which shows us how we'll soon be out of water. The way you have compsoed the shot and nuanced the colours is superb

Hi Chris,
a great composition and a sad title. I like the way you are leading the eye along the valley to the lake, creating a wonderful depth. The colours and the management of the light are excellent. TfS!

Hi Chris,
Splendid shot of the wonderful landscape. I like the composition with the Going-to-sun road. The same problem with glaciers is everywhere - I observed this in Chile and Argentina, although the glaciers there are still huge. I hope to see this view in reality in two weeks time, so thanks for sharing. Regards and have a good weekend

Hi Chris.
This is a breathtaking view of a glacial valley, with more glacial valleys leading off on the left side. Great exposure, superb sharpness and lovely colours. This is a marvellous demonstration, along with your interesting note, of global warming. Very well taken shot with a great sense of space and depth.
Regards,
Andrew

Bonjour Chris,
Quelle vue magnifique !

Bravo !
A bientôt

Bonjour Chris
Salutations
