Photographer's Note

Ile-Louet lighthouse in Brittany:

From Carantec city, two lighthouse are showing the entry point to the Bay of Morlaix: lighthouse from Ile-Louët island, and the lighthouse from Lande.

Chronology of lighthouse life:
-- The lighthouse was established in April 1860. It is composed of a fixed white light on a square tower, 9m tall. A technical house just near the lighthouse.
-- In August 1909, fire at 3 occultations every 18 seconds, white and green sectors.
-- In 1910, expansion of housing.
-- In September 1962, automation of fire at 3 occultations every 12 seconds, white and green sectors.

Currently the home of the lighthouse is closed, but it is rentable for the night, for the fans ... :-)

Photo taken in a very sunny weekends from mid-February.
A beautiful light afternoon that overlooks the rocks.
The photo is taken from the headland of Penn-Lann in Carantec, from the beach in front of the Ile-Louet.
Using the tripod and a circular polarizing filter.
Adding frame and title afterwards.
Crop to remove a shadow over the rocks in the bottom + remove a part of the sky to maintain a certain proportion sky above sea level.

100th post on TE, I hope to have progressed since the 1st. Thank you all for your comments from the 1st ...
