Photographer's Note

This is the main hall of one of the biggest Chinese Temple named Thean Hou right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This temple was opened in the year 1989 and it is situated approximately 1.5 km from the heart of the city. There are a lot of cultural activities going on in this temple besides being a venue for the Chinese to pray to their deities. There is also a large multi purpose hall which can be booked by the public for such events as Chinese wedding dinners, shows and other religious activities.

There a lot of intricate carvings on all parts of the temple, the pillars are carved with phoenix and dragons, the wall are decorated with elaborate Chinese paintings and the roof tops all have very elaborate structures built into them.
