Photographer's Note

Scavenger Hunt Image #7 (previous - next)
All has certainly be said and written about modern sport polluted by money, consumer greed and doping. So, what is there to see and extrapolate from dual vision of two bronze figurines of wrestlers (2nd - 1st century BC) and the rush of the Tour de France cylists in the rue de Rivoli, right under the windows of the French sculpture department and in the back of Simon-Louis Boquet's Archimedes (1788)? Fame vs. advertising income? Ethical values vs. financial value? Strength vs. steroids? Please, share your suggestions.
More to come tomorrow.

PS The cyclists haven't even reached the borders of Paris while I'm writing these lines. So don't try to fathom who's who in the blur: I took this picture last year! But don't worry. As usual, the "best" man will win... ;-)
