Photographer's Note

This is the 33rd photograph from my trip to Turkey.

This trekking/holidays lasted 3 weeks and its route includes the most famous and interesting places in Turkey:

Istanbul - Izmir - Selcuk - Efez - Dilek National Park - Pammukale - Fethiye - Saklikent Gorge - Olu Deniz - Antalya - Termessos - Kapadokya - Istanbul.

This picture I took in Oludeniz, one of the most beautiful beaches on the southern coast of Turkey. It is situated just a 20 minutes drive from Fethiye and has an astonishing crystal-clear lagoon and a beautiful photogenic grey-white beach that adorns almost every Turkish travel brochure.

Rainfall is often heavy, with levels of around 1,000mm per year. This helps to maintain the many green areas around the beach. But it`s not easy to explore the mountains located around as there is not many footpaths.

Always you may get great point of view of this amazing place if You fancy paraglidig. It`s not the cheapest way of spending time in Olu Deniz, but from the height of 2'000 metres over the Blue Lagoon where the flights begin, you will get probably the best POV. 40 minutes should be enough to take some good shots from above : )

Taken with 10d and tele photo lens.
