Photographer's Note

No, this house is not mine, neither from any of my relatives. :'-(

I choosed that title because in my childhood I spent some of my beach holidays in the nearby town of Setubal and this site is located near the road we did everyday to go to the beach, so this view is part of my childhood memories.

Although it may not be that evident, that water is the Atlantic sea. The town of Setubal is located a couple of Km behind the hill where the house stands.

The region, Arrabida, is a beautiful Natural Park, an unique almost unspoiled spot of hills at the bord of the sea, covered with rare truly old Mediterranean vegetation; doubly rare, actually, because all other areas where one can find similar forests, unspoiled with non native species, are much closer to the Mediterranean Sea, while this one is on the Atlantic.

Regretably there is a cement factory a couple of Km behind the place where I shot this photo and also a beach with a douzen or two summer houses of some "smart guys" that built them either ilegally or by twisting regulations or bribing those who give the construction licenses.

I am sure that this place and the region deserve much more spectacular photos, but this one was shot at the end of o work day in Setubal, when I decided to take the longer way to go back home, so I had not much time to spend.
