Photographer's Note

Contrary to some popular belief in Europe, there is public transportation in the USA, at least in some cities. And there is even environmental concern.
This is a compressed natural gas (CNG) bus, part of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) fleet. Like the other MTS buses, this has bike racks in front, so that you can take your bike for free.
This photo was taken at the 12th and Imperial Transit Center, near PETCO Park, in southeast Downtown. This is an intermodal center for bus and trolley lines.
About public transportation in San Diego, California, please read also the notes and see of the photos of this series/theme, California Public Transportation.
