Photographer's Note
i took this picture 2 day's before the tsunami little did i know at the time i would be holding on to dear life up one of those coconut trees 2 day's later. southern sri lanka is paradise jungle right up to beautiful remote undeveloped beaches and wonderful people.
this is my first posting i'm a novice but hope to improve. all advice welcome

First of all let me welcome you to TE, I hope that you will enjoy your stay over here ... I must warn you right now that this site can be very addictive ... lols ... but is a great place to exchange ideas.
about this photo ... it is a very impressive shot indeed ... I love the tranquility in the scene ... and wow considering that this photo was taken one day before the tsunami ... this is a great posting indeed.

Hello Richard,
Life is full of contrasts,love n pain, joys and tears, heights and depths. All this you have shown in your post.
I wholeheartedly agree with Sarju, about the addiction of TE. Would you believe, I sleep for only four hours. Almost 12 hours I work and rest you can easily imagine.
Your panorama is beautiful and I aml ooking forward to great and beautuful shots from you.
Practise and patience are the only two key words I have learnt.

The photo captures the little bay well. The colour of the sea is delightful. You could have tried the shot without the coconut trees to afford a complete view of the coastline.
