Photographer's Note

*** This is a repost. Thanks to alekpet for the help with the photoshop work. I liked the slightly darker aspect of the photo so i didnt lighten it as much as he did in his WS. so here is the Improved version of the same Photo. *****
This was taken on the island of Dondet on the Mekong river in Southern Laos.
It was taken at around 10pm. On this small island there is not electricity so the locals use generators to run things.
Of course generators use fuel which is expensive, so after 10 pm everything is shut down.
Luckily for me the moon was full (or very close to being so)
I setup the tripod and set the exposure to 30 seconds.
this is what i got.
the sky looks almost like daylight and the mekong shows some terrific reflections.
There was a small problem with some noise so i trued to remove it. im not sure if i got it all.

Ps. I list the city as Pakse because that is the closest one. I could not find the longitude and latitude for DonDet.
