Photographer's Note
At Horton Plains there isn't much wildlife. All we saw were some deer although there are apparently leopards in the park somewhere. But just as we were leaving in the minibus we drove past this group of monkeys. I like the different expressions on their faces.

These animals are everywhere in Sri Lanka! They drove me mad! I hope you didn't mind them but our tour group found them overbearing after 3 days or so. Still, they've given you a nice pose, so this group can't be all bad. Good shot and well seen.

Good evening Jonathan,
Spectacular shot of this family! I love their expressions. The lips seem to have been painting with lip stick and their hair completely messed up, as they got a pretty good scare, except for this brave one in the left foreground. Very very nice. I love it!
They allways say there is felline animals as leopards, but it is impossible to see one!
Have a nice weekend,
Ricardo

Hi Jonathan, A great catch with all the monkeys pose to your lens with great concentration. It is interesting to see their expression and their "bad hair" for everyone. A interesting and fun shot. Well done.

This is a very striking photo! As you said, the different expressions on the faces of the monkey is a surprise and a delight. It's really not too difficult to imagine that this is a group of people and not monkeys. Great lighting also, with the backlight showing the hair well. Excellent!

Hi Jonathan, What a fantastic family portrait - hopefully you have their address so you can send a copy! The monkeys are very well distributed in your composition. I like the patriarch on the rocks leading the eye into this remarkable shot. They have such fabulous and human like expressions - very confronting! Really lovely shot! Sabine

Hi Jonathan,
A very well composed and dramatic shot of these monkeys. Its as if you told them to pose and then spaced them in perfect proportion in the scene. The clarity is outstanding, and I like how the predominant green and brown colours blend so well together. A fine capture, Jonathan. Very pleasing work.

Monkeys always show inerest in humans. They are daring and make faces-challenging you. They flee away but leave the impression of courage. One of the best shots. Congraqts

What a great picture
The expression on the monkeys face I have often seen on my sisters children when I took there picture....complete confusion. The hair looks similar too.
Excellent composition. The lighting is ok
I would increase the contrast just a little but still an exceptional picture
Cheers
Greg
