Photographer's Note

The gray squirrel. In Quebec, the gray squirrel lives the forests of leafy trees or mixed gasolines. One meets it in the public parks of our cities and suburbs. Its population is composed of 1 to 5 individus/ha and it occupies a field which can reach from 1 to 5 hectares for the female and up to 30 hectares for the male. A gray squirrel can live from 6 to 10 years in kind. These rodents can cause damage as to notch electric wire (can be the cause of fire) or telephone. On the other hand, they take part in the afforestation of the forests because the majority of the nuts which they hide of are not found. At all events this animal is quite pretty and accepts nuts easily that one tends to him.
