Photographer's Note

Photograph of Tryfan, in the Snowdonia National Park, NW Wales. The rough translation of "Tryfan" into English is "Pointed Peak".

Tryfan is by no means the highest mountain in Snowdonia - at 915m (3002ft) it is lower than the 1,085m of Mount Snowdon - although i represents a difficult climb and involves a lot of scrambling.

This photo was taken from the ascent to the nearby Glyder Fach, and was taken in abot the only 5 minute period where the summit was not covered by clouds.
