Photographer's Note

The dazzling Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Chicago's Millennium Park is considered to be the most sophisticated outdoor concert venue in the world. Designed by Frank Gehry, the Pavilion features billowing headress of stainless steel ribbons that frame the proscenium. Above the lawn seating area are overhead trellis of criscrossing steel pipes that basically defines the open air acoustical canopy from where the speakers are suspended. It is really amazing, what you hear at the back of the lawn area is the same as what you hear in the seating area. This is how the pavilion looks like when it's full, during the winter, at night and in relation to other enhancements of the Millennium Park.

Saturated for Fuji film Velvia effect.
