Photographer's Note

Vågåmo is a small village between Otta and Lom. This area is known for its great number of old (wooden) buildings, including the stave church.
The stave church of Vågåmo was mentioned first in 1130. About 1625-1630 the church was rebuilt into a crossshaped church. Other materials from broken down stave churches in the region were used.
The baptism vont and the big cross are from the middleages, the pulpit and altar from about 1600.
Remarkable detail of the church is the seperated bell-tower.

This picture i made at the back of the church. I liked the atmosphere, as if you were taken back in time.
