Photographer's Note
well i hadnt posted anything for a few days and it was a nice sunset out, so i went down to the beach, about a 2 minute walk, and snapped away happily for about 30 minutes, im going down later when it gets darker to see if ican make anything with long exposures.
i chose to post this one as i like the diagonal wave crashing through the picture and the reflections of the sun on the beach, i also like the sky very much, its just a pity small areas of it remain over exposed.
i hope you like it, thanks for looking, comments and critiques welcome! oh and yes, i have nothing better to do on a friday night than take pictures!
after davido's comment i find it appropriate to tell you that i was stood on one of the wooden structures you see in the picture, it was quite slippy and i scared myself a few times! thanks for looking!

Hello Steven,
Very soft colours in this shot. This is really a great sky, but I find the title inappropriate. Why fire when there is only marshmallow ? ;^)
Very good composition with this clever diagonal.
BTW, wasn't the water too cold ? ;^p

Hej Steven,
You got a wonderful sky here in this shot. The colours of the sun through the louds are great. The reflections in the water are very nice as well. Good work!

Indeed, I was beginning to wonder wether you had vanished :). But lucky for us you returned with a great shot. The setting sun is giving a very nice warm glow to the shot. The clouds are adding to the effect as well. I like the way you made it look like it's taken from out of the sea. Good job.

Well hello there Steven. I saw you posted another and found a lovely sunset. Lovely setting too. And thanks for your comments on my sunset from yesterday.
Suggestion. Its hard to say whether this is bright or dark because of differnet monitors. So if it ever appears to you to have a lack of color you can underexpose it a little by using photoshop levels or add just a touch of contrast. Not trying to be critical only helpful. I love your POV here.
Cheers PAul

Now then Steve,
An nice soft image with a great sky and a good reflection. I like all the colours. I know what you mean about the dark areas.
Well done!
Ged.

Ste... I critiqued this last night after my points ran out....logged on today to add the points ... no critique!...what's going on?
Anyway...
Some wonderful cloud formations add drama here and the colours in the wet sand seem even stronger than the colours in the sky. Good compo with the diagonal wave.
About having to stand on a groyn post,(you're lucky you're not looking for the insurance docs this morning!)as we're heading away from summer the sun is going to set further and further round, so no more sea-sunsets soon and even standing on a groyn post won't help:o(
Good shot well done

Splendid photo, Steven! The colours are very warm and deep. The atmosphere is very romantic. I like the way all the lines lead the eye to the right. Also the reflection on the water is very nice.

Hey Ste, not a bad shot, good choice of stanging on the groyne! Gives a unique viewpoint! I do think that it coudl do with a bit more contrast though, it has a misty look that I will try to play with in a WS if you dont mind.
Well done though its a good scene!

I like the great colours of the sky, Steven, but also the sea, the diagonal wave, the reflections, but mainly the special atmosphere, that pleased me a lot. Very nice work!
