Photographer's Note

Juçara palm trees are native from my street and a pioneer told me once the place where my street would be built was covered with them. Anyway this abundant treasure was extinct and I only saw my first one when I was 12 years old and visited a farm in the edges of Ivaí river and an old man had preserved some of them in a piece of forest. I became fascinated by its beauty. During the 1980's many little palms were gave to inhabitants of my town and nowadays it is possible to see them in any corner. This one you see here was planted at side of my home in 1997 and was killed by a massive attack of caterpillars few days ago. An image took with my cellphone from the window of my office.
