Photographer's Note

This is the classical view of Manarola. But how could anyone resist to take picture of such a view and then to post it. Maybe from all the town Cinque Terre Manarola has the most spectacular setting. And I have never seen a harbour not in the bay but in the town, even if small. There are no cars there, but the boats park everywhere on the streets.

Manarola may be the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, with the cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dating from 1338.
Manarola's primary industries have traditionally been fishing and wine-making. The local wine, called Sciacchetrà, is especially renowned; references from Roman writings mention the high quality of the wine produced in the region. Tourist attractions in the region include a famous walking trail between Manarola and Riomaggiore (called Via dell'Amore, "Love's Trail") and hiking trails in the hills and vineyards above the town.

Unfortunately, after the landslide some years ago in the area, the trails along sea are closed. And the trail above is so tiring with the height difference around 400 m.
I hope you will like it.
