Photographer's Note

Slieve Loughshannagh and Slieve Meelbeg in the Mourne Mountains, County Down. Shot over the Christmas holidays on a crisp and frosty afternoon, as the sun was sinking it illuminated the heather on the hilltops turning them various shades of terracottas and golds. The rocks in the wall were covered in frost in the little hollow in the foreground and the 'sugar' coating on the hilltops adds the feeling of winter.

Nikon D90, 18-105 Nikkor lens at 18FL. F16 @ 1/8. Shot as 3 individual shots and photomerged into a panorama in Photoshop. Polarising Filter.
