Photographer's Note

This monk resides in the temple complex at the holy mountain Hengshan. I posted a picture of his home/workplace earlier. Don't know if he's the real thing (Chinese authorities have been known to sometimes put fake monks and nuns in some temples and monasteries, for tourists to see), but he was very friendly and also a fortune teller; he foretold me "love and money" :). I don't know about the money part, but maybe it takes years for those things to come true. Concerning love nothing has changed to the worse at least...

This picture was a little unsharp, maybe just from the scan, so I have worked quite a lot with sharpening. I hope this looks sharp and not sharpened. Postprocessing also includes a slight decrease in gamma, some modifications of tone-curves and channels to reduce redness and increase the rainy day feel that I wanted this picture to have (since it was cold and raining) and also some slight noise reduction.
