Photographer's Note

Copy what I wrote in preceding note about Kodari
Besides being a place of stunning natural beauty, it has an exotic history going back to ancient times as the starting point of the trans- Himalayan caravan route, the Nepalese equivalent of Silk Road
The 144 km Arniko Highway connecting Kathmandu with Kodari passes through magnificent river gorges and splendid mountain scenery
Kodari is just 4-5 hours’ drive away from Kathmandu

The Photo
Taken at the street connecting both countries, there were fuss only approaching the place where papers (forms) must be handwritten and given at the Chinese’s police, while waiting for them to be accepted, walked along the street noticing this scene
Old houses were made that way, bricks and wooden with some wooden ornaments along the door
Sacs with material construction were shut with stones to prevent thefts (almost impossible) in a place plenty of soldiers, from Nepal and Chine
Sleeping dog, I have seen he walking in the street along with a goat, minutes after he was immersed in a deep sleep
