Photographer's Note

As in many Latin countries (except France) newspapers are presented in this way. I was attracted by the colors and the juxtaposition of themes.
The Portuguese press began with the promulgation of the law on freedom of the press at the beginning of the year 1835. Four months later, the 18 April 1835 appeared the first day of Portugal, Açoriano Oriental, one of the oldest newspapers in the world still appearing. Continental Portugal, O Século (1880-1978) and the Jornal de Notícias (1888 -) have been or are refereed journals.
