In keeping with the season...

Inspired by Rigoletto's "Facing the Oilworks," I realized how much more interesting interior shots of museums are if you don't wait til the room is empty, but rather use the presence of a visitor to express the emotion of what it actually feels like to be there. I think it turns it into a much more powerful (and interesting) shot and am grateful to Deniz for making me aware of this through his own photography.

I hope this shot gives at least some impression of what it is like to wander through the rooms of Barcelona's amazing MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya) collections, some of which you have also seen in the wonderful photography of Mike (mjw364) and Juan Ferragut, among others.
