one more from Macau...


Macau is a strange place. Within China, but not completely and with a distinctive exotic feeling to it. Its long history as a Portuguese colony has much to do with that, of course.

These days Macau is famed for its catholic heritage, for being the only place in China where casino's are legal and for its food, which is a unique mix of Portuguese and southern Chinese.


This picture shows an ensemble of fish, drying in the sun. It reminded me of the bacalhau, ever present in Portugal, and pretty popular throughout SE-Asia too...even though, these particular fish are probably no bacalhau. I'm not a big fish expert, I just like to eat. :)
