Photographer's Note

The square, which was the scene of political facts, was built between 1895 and 1897 and retains the neoclassic and eclectic styles of the turn of the century 19, to post-modern. Beyond the Palace of liberty, can be seen the old buildings of the following State departments: finance, education, security and Transportation and public works. Modernism is present in the curves of Niemeyer's building, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and well featured on one side of the square.
