Photographer's Note

Our small group climbed back into the two jeeps for a short ride further north. Turning off the road we reached a small operation where a man and a woman made mud bricks for a living. They had a supply of moulds and pressed the mud, available on site, firmly into them. These cakes were then left to dry in the sun. To do the work, they crouched close to the ground. I imagine that after a short time they must experience cramps in the legs - part of the joys of earning a living in a rural area when options are limited.
