Photographer's Note

This is a view over the port of Bergen. Bergen is a large cruise ship destination. On the busiest days can be the number of cruise tourists in the city come up over 10000 each day. This year Seatrade Insider Cruise Awards has nominated the Port of Bergen to the price: Port of the Year 2011. The popularity and importance of Bergen as cruise port seems to remain at a high level even further. Next year is expected to 291 calls during a season.

De très beaux toits rouges qui mettent de la vie dans ce pays nordique. Les bateaux de croisière se préparent à visiter les fjords et animent l'image.

Già la foto scorsa prima dava una imponenza del porto ...poi offrire ai turisti un paesaggio inedito ed unico come i fiordi norvegesi.
Navi da 3500 passeggeri riempono questa ricca città .
Veduta d'insieme ricca di colore e vivacità.

Wow! I didn't know there were that much cruise tourists in Bergen.
The ships on the picture look so big compared to the houses. Another contrast I like are the red roofs against the blue water and the dark forested mountains.

I'll never get tired of these images from Bergen. with all the rust colored rooftops, its almost as if we're looking at Croatia or Spain somewhere.

Great light that makes the red roofs sparkle in pleasant contrast with the greenery...

beautiful view of Bergen.It has really unique location and is because of that so picturesque.It seems to be rush hour for the port,as we see here cruise ships coming in and out the port.The POV is well chosen and I like those splendid,bright colors.

Fabulous point to take pictures from, Erling. Bergen at your palm... and weather was favorable, visibility was excellent, the outcome of the photo shows marvelous scenery.
