Photographer's Note

On the way to Kennacraig for the ferry to Islay, we stopped at the Rest and Be Thankful, possibly one of the most stunning viewpoints in Scotland.

This Rest and Be Thankful lies at the top end of Glen Croe and is so called because the road out of the Glen is long and steep. It was traditional for travellers to rest at this point and be thankful for reaching it!
