I'm just back from a short break in Islay and took the opportunity to visit the Ardbeg Distillery.

The distillery has stood on this site since 1815 and for most of it's history Ardbeg was used for blended whisky. Despite striking out as a single malt, production was halted due to poor sales in 1981. Production was resumed in 1989, however business remained slow until the company was bought by Glenmorangie, who themselves are owned by LVMH (the company responsible for Louis Vuitton and Moet Hennessy)

This is an HDR image combined from three photos with different exposures using an application for the Mac called Luminance. Editing was completed by a slight tweak of levels and addition of a faint warming filter.
