Same place, different opera about one year ago (Ariadne auf Naxos, composed by Richard Strauss, before this staging by Laurent Pelly will be transplanted in the opéra Bastille)...
Inside the hall itself, while it's still far from being full...
Restored gilded ornementations and red velvet covered seats everywhere...
Groups of sculpted figures all around the ceiling...
Mythical allegories of the main constituents of the performances that'll take place here (I never really learned the Greek alphabet, but I can still read "choreographia" here)...

Before the ringing of the bell announcing the curtain rise, before spectators will rush in, the show is here. In the lush decor. In the association of content and form.
