An early ferry is leaving for one of the villages on the main land around Lake Toba,North-Sumatra,former home of my wife,and still a great place to visit sometimes.....

The soft morning light provides a great atmosphere , in this fantastic mountain scenery . The clouds and the shades are superb too .

Hi Jan,

This is an excellent image. Perfect balance of water,land and sky. The image is split into thirds very well. The boat at the front is a really nice touch too. Lighting is excellent and colours very well captured.Thanks for sharing,

Dag Jan,

U werkt met een prachtig licht en schaduw in de achtergrond, u creëerd een bijzonder mooi plaat.
Echt een gevoel dat men er zelf is, ook de kleuren zijn zeer aantrekkelijk.

Olá Jan, breathtaking landscape and light. The tiny ferry only makes it even more grandiose giving a new dimension to the mountains. Wonderful presence of the low clouds adding drama too.

This is equally an impressive image of Lake Toba. Good pov emphasizing more above the water line. Nice shadows on the valleys and ridges with quiet heavy clouds above. Great dof, very sharp and with good mixture of light Marvelous colors and saturation and fine exposure control. A stunning picture, TFS
