Photographer's Note

This is Spaso-Prebrazhenskiy Sobor (Cathedral of Transfiguration of Jesus) at the Krasnohirskiy (meaning "of Fine Hill") Pokrovskiy Monastery. It is situated in the village of Bakiyivka near the town of Zolotonosha (that means "Bringing Gold"), Cherkaska Oblast. Because of this the second name of the monastery is Zolotonoshskiy Krasnohirskiy Monastery. The cathedral was designed by Ivan Hryhorovych-Barskyi in the Ukrainian Baroque style and built in 1767-1771.
