Photographer's Note

Another shot of my series from São Caetano, ES. I arrived there in the morning, finding some beautiful low clouds touching the mountains. I think the lighting and setting were inspiring of a more contemplative approach, thus the bw and the addition of rays of sun. I’ll post the color version some other day.
The title is a generic reference to the second meaning of the term, a hymn or song of praise.

1. a. The canticle beginning Magnificat anima mea Dominum ("My soul doth magnify the Lord").
b. A musical setting of this canticle.
2. magnificat A hymn or song of praise.
[Middle English, from Medieval Latin, from Latin magnificat, it magnifies, third person sing. present tense of magnificāre, to magnify, extol; see magnify.]
