Photographer's Note
Walking towards Acopan Tepuy, one of the many table-top mountains located in Gran Sabana, Venezuela. In the last years, these beautiful mountains have become an attractive destination for climbing, providing tons of unexplored walls in a territory that promises and adventure already on the approach.
During this trip in 2006, we climbed an already established route: Jardineros de Grandes Paredes, 7b, 300 m. To get to the base of Acopan, one must take a small plane from a nearby city, Santa Elena de Uairen, in order to get to Yunek, the closest village. Yunek is inhabitated by native Pemon people. From here, a short day walking leads to the base camp, located somewhere in the jungle, from where the base of the climb can be reached in one or two hours more.

Hola Leonardo
Esta imagen me gusta mucho, pienso que manipulaste la dura luz del medio dia, de una forma interesante. Las nubes sin embargo estan un poco sobre-expuestas, cosa que evidentemente es muy dificil de gestionar.

Hello,
It is a place I dream to visit one day, but up to now, the opportunuity did not happen. Perhaps one day.
I like this composition placing the people on the track and driving the look towards the some particuler table mountains in background.
Yves.
