Photographer's Note
The city of Cusco is surrounded by steep hills covered with homes, reached by paths and winding streets. Those who work and shop in the city below generally must walk uphill back home, at least from wherever they can get to by bus.

Hi Ken, this is a striking image, in the best style of Cartier-Bresson. Stark sunlight and cobblestones are always a good combination. You also have a great POV here, catching the woman on the steep road seemingly leading to nowhere. Excellent shot! Regards,

j'avais déjà remarqué les photos de ta galerie qui me plaisaient surtout en noir et blanc et là encore tu nous fais partager une photo de cette femme qui monte cette rue sur les pavés que l'on distingue bien

Great shot Ken! The different elements are placed perfectly in the frame, with the road winding through the frame and the the buildings prviding a natural frame for the road. The woman walking up the hill provides that essential element of human interest, a little story. Beautiful!

Hi Ken,
What a strong and impressive shot. You can call it a kind of classic shot, so be it, i like these kind of pictures very much. Colors are not needed here, the whole mood is making this picture to a very strong and powerful picture...great..!!!
Have a nice weekend, Henk

Hi Ken,
Your frame excellently captured at right time, at right place while lovely lady climbing to uphill. Especially textures on road and white façades are increasing your photo’s value with endless zigzag. Congratulations. I wish you a very good week end.
Best Regards,

Hello, Ken--
Nice work on this one, the empty street stretching in front of her gives a feel of her daily walk, along with her load. The shadow in the street really gets me in this one, it just seems really well balanced within the frame, although i don't know for sure why i like it so much. Also, the B&W was a good choice--while i'm sure you would have had a nice contrast of the colors on the lady with the neutrals of the city, the simple dark on light really works best here.
Thanks!
sam

One of these very special photos that you don't have to put a word of information about into the note' window.
It speaks with the loud and clear voice...
I AM ANDEAN BABE !!!
From corner to corner...As beautiful as the best Andean babies there are.
All the Christmas best for you, my dearest friend.
May God bless you and your dearest.

Hello Ken,
There is a timeless look in this photo == seeing the inhabitants of people in the Caucuses, the Andes -- folks seen from behind trudging up steep slopes. There is one Turkish photographer who has posted a number of photos from Bursa resonating with the same psyche. Bursa, ancient Roman Brusse, is located on the slopes of Mt. Olympus of Myssia. Your image is beautifully composed. The frame as well as the black and white format add significantly, rendering a finished feel to your work.

Bulent

Ken,
this is another great image. you have included many if not all the aspects of "a good photograph". low angle lighting, shadows, human aspect, movement, texture and converging lines. peru is one of my favorite places, youve captured Cuzco so well in one shot.

Hello Ken
Very nice daily life photo. THe amazing thing is that it could have been taken today or 60 years ago and we wouldnt be able to make the difference.
Very nice tones and very well exposed
